Guards was a great learning experience and I had a blast creating it. It was the side project where I really started to stretch my legs as a programmer, and I came out of the project much more proficient than when I started. I created an inventory system, implemented really basic A* pathfinding, and created a bunch of cool enemies and weapons. I don't think the final out come was all that impressive in the end, but I'm still proud of the work I put into it and what I learned.
